Wow! Nearly A Whole Month!

I haven't blogged in nearly a month... talk about lazy. I would love to say that i have been swept off my feet, but sad to say that I haven't.

I had a great birthday, lots of goodies! Including a brand new digital camera. I am still ttying to work that one out! So many settings! Went out to dinner with Mum and Dad, poor Chris was so sick with the flu, but put up with me anyway :)

Talk about karma, i caught the dreaded flu from him and then spent the next two weeks sick as i have ever been. Have you ever had the situation when you have to blow your nose every two seconds? It gets to the point where no matter what tissues you are using (thank God for those 3 ply soft anti-bacterial ones though) it hurts to blow your nose? I had to miss out on a little trip for Chris' aunty's birthday the following saturday, but i caught up on much much needed sleep and it did me a world of good.

Family of friends have just had their first baby. So I am trying my hand at sewing. I have made four burp cloths (thanks for the idea Rachel!) and a rather nice looking (if i don't say so myself) taggie blanket/quilt. I'll package it up and pass it along!

Crafty things are happening! I don't know if I want to try my hand at markets (cold cold cold here , and there are not many markets around for that kind of thing) or if I should go online. Love to hear some experiences!

We went along to Triple J's One Night Stand in Cowra specifically to se Silverchair! I love Daniel Johns! It was so weird to see him so close on stage! I haven't been to see them live for ten years! Surreal!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! I SMELL LIKE A BEE...

Hmmmm what does a bee's 'scent" smell like? Or do have use my nose the same way a bee uses it's "nose"? (I know bees don't have noses, just going off on one of my many tangents here)

Yes! It is my 24th birthday on Saturday (7th)!

Double the fun! I get birthday pressies AND easter eggs! Can you tell how excited I am by all the !!!'s I am using?! YAY!!!

I will post more on Tuesday or Wednesday (depends on how busy the studio is after the long weekend)

Off With The Faeries

Gee, i seem to have joined the club of bloggers that have "disappeared" into thin air!

I am ok, for those of you who were concerned, as they say it never rains it pours! Literally!
We have had the show come to town (like a carnival for you outside the aussie land), so lots of work has been sucked out of me for that. My sister thus came to town (yes she is a carnie, lol) and my mum came in to visit her. My sister made the mistake of taking mum on a ride, mum was wiped out for the rest of the day. Now i know where i get it from! (I do not fair well on anything that spins, i have a bad centre of gravity.)

I have been scouring my town for funky fabrics to make the bag that rachel has posted on the RVA blog, but so far have only found one lot that i like. Red and white stripes. So cool. I was happy about the price too! Spotlight had their 20% off everything sale on Monday so I stocked up on Bazzill and just had to grab the fabric. I love it when Spotlight has a sale. Sad but true!

Chris is still working his little butt off. When doesn't he? People away on holidays, people just leaving early cause they feel like it, etc etc, i'm sure you know how the story goes.

I have found a bunch of info on how to do my banner so keep and eye out for that!

I'm off to have a lazy weekend, (chris rented dvds today, i'm yet to know which ones lol) and laze around the house, maybe do some scrapping. Have a fantabulous weekend! I know I will!

Why Does It Always rain?....

.....when you are walking into town and you are halfway?

I feel like a wet drowned rat! lol

But I am not complaining.... we really need the rain, I just wish it would wait until I am inside!

So we had a lazy weekend... how about you? I sorted out my scrap space, and organised my supplies a little better, surfed the net looking for scrap ideas, tried to think of a question to ask Elsie, washed the car (only to have it rained on) and watched some dvds (Devil Wears Prada anyone?)

I Love Ryan Reynolds!

Lol. We went and saw Smokin' Aces and although i didn't really care if i saw it or not, i took Chris to go and see it (right up his alley, and he had been bugging me for weeks). I have always been a huge fan of Ryan's and his acting in this movie did not disappoint. If you haven't seen this yet, drop everything and go and see it! It made me want to dig out all of his movies that I have and have a huge pervfest!

Ugly Betty premiered in Australia on Sunday night! I love this show and i have only seen one episode! Betty ROCKS!

Fortunately no, i haven't fallen, althought my head seems to think it's cool to be pounding for no reason!

As you have probably guessed by now, i have been feeling a little under the weather for the past week, and my body is just starting to recover now.

Speaking of weather... WOW! the massive storms that passed over NSW on the weekend were WILD. I have been so use to seeing dry, sad, dust and hot bitumen, with the occasional sad bit of rain that i forgot what a real storm was like. Gutters overflowing, a massive torrent of water running down the main street of town, and those fantastic cloud formations. I was lucky enought to grab some fab photos of these, so i will post soon. (and all the shopping photos are on their way)

Hope you had a fabulous Valentine's Day (yesterday, i know i'm a bit late). I know that i am not the only one who has this in her list of favourite holidays.

I love stormy, rainy weather, to me it is great scrapping weather. So i should get stuck into scrapping now! ENJOY!

Been Shopping!

I have been on a shopping spree the past couple of days. I don't have any photos, but i will take some and get them up to show you all!

Anyway, i can at least tell you what have bought!

** New boots! I know it is February, and Australia seems to be in the middle of the worst droughts i can remember, and winter last year wasn't that cold, i saw these knee high boots being unpacked and couldn't resist! I haven't bought a new pair of boots for a few years, and my last pair fell to pieces due to the amount of love i was giving them, so i desperately needed a new pair.

** some funky coloured cardstock and new paper for scrapping (i organised my supplies last night so now i seem to have a better idea of what I have.)

** A couple of new tops (funky green stripes) and a beautiful funky corset, which i am wearing today btw.
